Join us for this month's meeting
Thursday,
May 8, 2008
7:00
p.m.
First Congregational Church, Rte 189, Granby, CT

Terry
Walters, author of CLEAN FOOD,
will speak to us about making positive physiological changes through whole
food cooking instruction, and programs designed to support and facilitate
change to a healthier life.
CLEAN FOOD will inspire you to celebrate the beauty and bounty of the
changing seasons. No matter what your dietary preference or needs may
be, these recipes will provide a feast for your senses, and will nourish
your mind, body and soul.
Terry draws from extensive educational and life experiences including
training from The Institute of Integrative Nutrition, The Natural Gourmet
Cookery School, The Kushi Institute and The Chopra Center.
She is a Certified Holistic Health Counselor.
Her cookbook is available at Granby Village Health and will also be available
for sale (and signing) at the May meeting.

The
Granby Newcomers and Neighbors Club was established in 1970 for
the purpose of welcoming new people to the community in a warm and
friendly manner. Since that time, the group has expanded to include
established as well as new women of Granby and the surrounding
area. It has helped to increase the resources that are available
around town. Social activities are available to members spouses
and children.
Membership meetings are usually held the second Thursday of each
month during the school year (the club is off in June, July and
August). Membership dues are $25 annually. Anyone interested in
joining the Club may attend two meetings to become informed about
the club without being charged dues; however, dues must be paid
for continued participation after those two meetings. Join anytime
of the year (dues are pro-rated
to reflect your join date).
Granby Newcomers is a social organization for women that is heavily
dependent upon its members for success. The more effort members
put into the Club, the more benefits everyone can reap from it.
The Club is non-profit and annually donates proceeds from its fundraisers
to various Granby organizations. Please join us for lots of fun
its a great way to meet others in the community!
